Harvey Industries International, Inc is a quality and customer-obsessed company that manufactures and sells the Bridge City Tool Works and the Harvey Woodworking brands and have had explosive growth in the past year. We are an international company with manufacturing factories overseas, sales worldwide, but work as a 5 person startup team that specializes in Woodworking tools.

As we expand into the new market of direct sales in the USA and emerging markets, we are looking to add on an integral part of our core team at our Montclair, CA office/warehouse.

Who we’re looking for:

We are looking for an Office manager to organize and coordinate administration duties and office procedures. Your role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication and safety. This person would be a crucial hire for our company, need to wear many hats, and see the potential in working on a ground floor start-up team.

Office manager duties and responsibilities include taking and directing phone calls and emails with either a direct response, sales assistance, or a follow up response by redirect to the correct department and making sure the conversation closes loop. Additionally, this position will process coordination, making office supplies arrangements, providing general administrative support to our employees, managing and following up with employee tasks to reach goals and manage overall productivity and workflow. Previous experience as a Front office manager or Office administrator would be an advantage. A successful Office manager should have experience with a variety of office software (email tools, spreadsheets and databases), be able to accurately handle administrative duties and at heart, passionate about problem solving and extreme attention to detail. Ultimately, the Office manager should be able to ensure the smooth running of the office and help to improve company procedures and day-to-day operation.


  • Serve as the point person for office manager duties including: maintenance, mailing, supplies, equipment, bills, errands, shopping
  • Be the point of communication for customers both via phone and email
  • Organize the office layout and order stationery and equipment
  • Maintain the office condition and arrange necessary repairs
  • Act as HR to maintain office policies as necessary
  • Organize office operations and procedures
  • Coordinate with the various departments to make sure our zero customer inbox policy
  • Ensure that all items are invoiced and paid on time
  • Manage contract and price negotiations with office vendors, service providers and office lease
  • Manage office General and Administrative budget, ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Provide general support to visitors
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new hires
  • Address employees queries regarding office management issues (e.g. stationery, Hardware and travel arrangements)
  • Liaise with facility management vendors, including cleaning, catering and security services
  • Plan in-house or off-site activities, like parties, celebrations and conferences


  • Proven experience as an Office manager, Front office manager or Administrative assistant
  • Knowledge of office administrator responsibilities, systems and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular) and Google Office Suite
  • Proven communication skills both with customers and within the team
  • Hands on experience with office machines (e.g. fax machines and printers)
  • Familiarity with email scheduling tools, like Email Scheduler and Boomerang
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
  • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
  • High School degree; additional qualification as an Administrative assistant or Secretary will be a plus
